MES / TRADESMEN

 Your first step toward becoming HVAC certified begins with entry level Tradesmen courses. The second step in your career is to become certified at the intermediate level as an M.E.S (Mechanical Equipment Servicemen)

TRADESMEN COURSE DESCRIPTION

 

Electrical

Teacher: Mark Burnside 

A study of electro-mechanical controls making up a basic electric AC and gas heating package unit. Component identification and operation will be covered with special emphasis on safety procedures. Basic troubleshooting strategies will also be highlighted.

(Course offered in the fall and spring.)

Electrical MES/ Tradesmen San Diego 

Teacher: Nate Key

Related Math 

Teacher: Emil Koester

This class will cover basic math principles related to addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and how to apply them to the HVAC trade. The skills taught are intended to prepare the students for the math portion of the entrance exam into the Apprenticeship Program.

Tradesmen Mechanical 

Teacher: Giovanni Licea

This course is designed for Tradesmen to become familiar with and understand the basic refrigeration cycle as it applies to the different components of a system. Basic electricity and controls will be covered. There will also be a review of refrigerant handling as it applies to the CFC certification. Whether you are new to the trade or need some formal review, this class is for you.
